DANIEL L. RIMSTIDT President
Dan Rimstidt has over 30 years of experience that encompasses technical and business issues in the coal industry from reserve evaluation through utilization. From 1977 to 1991, Mr. Rimstidt worked as a Project Geologist for Exxon Coal Resources; a Geologist, Market Researcher, and Strategic Planner for BP Coal; and a Market Researcher for Arch Coal. In 1991 he moved to the Fuel Department of PSI Energy where he was instrumental in the company’s compliance planning, process improvement and fuel procurement through the mergers with CG&E and, later, Duke Energy.
Mr. Rimstidt retired as a Vice-President with Duke Energy in 2006 and assumed the role of President at Global Energy Consultants, LLC. He has Master’s Degrees in both Geology and Conflict Resolution.

J. THOMAS MASON Advisor
J. Thomas Mason has over thirty years of experience in the area of fuels used by electric utilities. He has significant experience in fuel procurement negotiation, contract administration, and business development. His experience has resulted in the establishment of a significant number of relationships with coal suppliers, consumers, and transporters in the United States.

CHRISTOPHER LAFFERTY Business Development Manager
Chris Lafferty has been conducting multi-faceted research studies for the last eight years. In his previous position, he was responsible for managing research contracts awarded by the National Institutes for Occupation Safety and Health (NIOSH) where he was the recipient of two distinguished NIOSH honors, the Alice Hamilton Award for Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health, and the 2nd annual Bullard-Sherwood Award. Mr. Lafferty has extensive experience in coal industry market research and data analysis. His role at Global Energy Consultants, LLC is to provide up-to-date coal industry data specifically tailored to meet the customer’s need.

RAMESH MALHOTRA Chairman
Ramesh Malhotra has been actively involved in the energy industry for more than 30 years. Mr. Malhotra started as a Mineral Economist with the Illinois State Geological Survey and later joined Freeman United Coal Mining Company as Assistant Vice-President of Marketing. In 1981 he joined NERCO Coal Company as its Vice-President of Marketing and in 1987 resigned as President to start his own business. Over the past nineteen years, Mr. Malhotra has owned and managed the operations of Coal Network, Inc. which includes coal brokerage, coal blending services, river terminal operations and international trading of a wide range of products and services. Mr. Malhotra has a Master’s Degree in Geology as well as an MBA.
